    The Secret Garden

This enchanting classic of children’s literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of ‘Night Mother’. Orphaned in India, 11-year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin. The estate’s many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the “Dreamers”, spirits from Mary’s past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden’s compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

    Vertical Nights

Vertical Church isn't the name of a Church. It's an idea. The idea that worshiping Jesus Christ is best done not when we just sing about Him or what He has done or what He will do in the future. The highest and best worship is modeled by what the angels do: sing to God about God. Vertical.

Concertgoers will get to enjoy a message from Pastor James MacDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel, along with music from Vertical Church Band and special guest and worship artist/songwriter Paul Baloche. Vertical Church Band is a collection of people who play every week in places all over Chicagoland as part of Harvest Bible Chapel, a place that believes singing isn’t a warm-up for the sermon; singing is a warm-up for heaven. So the faces may change. The style may evolve. But the aim will stay the same. Vertical.

Along with the music and message, what also makes this tour unique is that at each stop a Worship Workshop will be offered. The workshop will encompass multiple afternoon seminars and is designed to help worship leaders grow in serving their local churches with instruction on servant leadership, mentorship, servant-heart worship leading, a band workshop about instrumentation, arrangements, song selections for their worship team, and a conversational Q&A session with the members of Vertical Church Band.

Workshop Groups of four or more receive $10 off per ticket.

    Workshop Schedule:
3 - 3.45 pm: Vertical Worship Leadership with Andi Rozier
3.45 - 4.30 pm:  The Ministry and Practice of Worship Leading with Paul Baloche
    Break for about 15 mins.
4:45pm - 5.30 pm: Band Workshop with Vertical Church Band
    5:30 - 6:00 pm: Q&A
Come and ask your questions about anything to do with the band and our worship ministry in Chicago. This is one of our favorite parts!
