    JOB SUMMARY
    Customer service position addressing the needs of the patrons of the Lerner Theatre during performances and events. Incumbent works on a casual or as-needed basis performing various tasks in providing patrons with an enjoyable experience.
    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Take tickets and hand out programs
    • Direct patrons with box office issues to proper area for assistance
    • Provide for patron needs such as seating, information, assisting patrons with challenges, direction to facilities etc.
    • Respond to emergency situations by assisting, calling for critical assistance, directing occupants in emergency evacuation, etc.
    • Clean up after performances/events
    • Set up for next performance/event
    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Other customer service duties and tasks as needs arise
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Graduate of accredited high school/GED preferred
    • Customer service experience desirable
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    • Flexibility to perform various customer service duties
    • Flexibility of available hours days, evenings, weekends
    • Ability to read and understand seating charts and facility maps

    JOB SUMMARY
    Stagehands perform technical tasks and render services with respect to safe unloading/loading of trucks, equipment set-up, break down, operation, repair of theatrical lighting, television lighting, sound systems, house fly/rail systems, hoists, scenery, properties, staging, risers, screens, projection equipment and various duties.
    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Unload equipment for performances and events from delivery trucks
    • Load equipment onto delivery trucks after performances and events
    • Install/set up technical equipment per Stage Tech Coordinators direction and equipment specifications for performances and events
    • Rigging as directed
    • Breakdown technical equipment after performances and events
    • Operate lighting, sound, and projection systems during performances and events
    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Make repairs to equipment as directed
    • General clean up of stage and equipment areas before and after performances and events
    • Any other duties as requested by the Stage Tech Coordinator
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Experience in stage set up and stage equipment operation
    • Technical training/education in performing arts technology desirable
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    • Working knowledge of techniques methods, and procedures of theater, dance, music, and other stage productions
    • Knowledge of electrically and manually-operated stage and sound equipment and of the methods, materials, tools, and practices required for their repair and maintenance
    • Knowledge of stage settings, lighting, and wiring for sound
    • Knowledge of applicable safety precautions and procedures
    • Knowledge of the mechanics of set and property components and set up and break down procedures
    • Ability to understand lighting and stage plots for a variety of shows
    • Ability to set up and operate equipment for desired stage and lighting effects
    • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations
    PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND VISUAL SKILLS
    • Visual ability to read stage and light plots and detect subtle shades of color
    • Hearing ability to use intercom system and decipher audio inputs
    • Ability to work using all types of lifts and equipment
    • Ability to climb ladders and work on overhead scaffolding, A ladder, and cat walks
    • Skills in the use of hand tools essential to the work involved
    • Ability to carry lighting instruments to top of A ladder
    • Ability to work extended hours
    • Ability to work under adverse conditions, such as loud noise, heat, cold, and outdoor weather as needed
    WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Work is part-time on an as needed basis for performances and events
    • Work is performed in a theater/stage environment with some work performed in other locations including outdoor venues

    JOB SUMMARY
    • Handles Box Office Sales (including internet sales), refunds, comps, ticket stubs, consignments, etc.
    • Reconciles all box office transactions, including daily accounting for cash, checks, charges, and reconciling to the ticket system reports
    • Maintains ticket inventory and forms needed to reconcile
    • Works shows, closes box office, and reconciles specific show sales
    • Receptionist for the Lerner
    • Clerical duties as time permits
    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Window sales
    • Daily opening and closing
    • Accountability for all banks in ticket office
    • Responsible for all tickets sales, cash, checks, charges and the reconciliation of each
    • Turns reconciliations in to the Lerner Manager for approval daily
    • Receptionists duties - handles all calls in a business-like manner
    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Works all shows, arriving one hour before each show and stays until Manager has all the information needed to proceed with the shows closing
    • Manages the postage and copy machine for the Lerner
    • Remains flexible to take part in other duties and be a team player
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Graduate of accredited high school
    • Microsoft computer experience (At least 1 yr)
    • Excel spread sheets
    • Receptionists experience
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    • Microsoft Office
    • Ability to work under stress and fast paced environment
    • Ability to handle concerns of general public courteously and efficiently
