Talent Show Aug. 10 Raising Money for Bashor Children’s Home

People are invited to attend Elkhart Has Talent, a fundraiser that will benefit Bashor Children’s Home, a nonprofit in Goshen that helps troubled youth and their families.

It costs $1 to vote for your favorite performer, which you can do at elkharthastalent.com. The show will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Lerner Theatre. Tickets are $50 for couples and $30 for singles.

Here are the contestants:

Elise Goodman: She will perform an original dance to Barbra Streisand’s “Don’t Rain On My Parade.” The Miss Elkhart County 2012 goes to Anderson University and is obtaining a major in secondary English education and minor in dance.

Mike O’Neill: The Elkhart native is a comedian with experience at Second City in Chicago. O’Neill once worked with former “The Office” star Steve Carell.

Trinity Methodist Men’s Quartet: This vocal group is made up of Tim Morgan, Bob Girard, Jeff Cain and Phil Miller. They typically perform at the East Jackson Street church in Elkhart.

Sheryl Noblitt and her nephew, Taylor Greene, will perform: Noblitt has been involved in the Elkhart Civic Theater’s Christmas show for more than 10 years. Greene has performed at the Elkhart Civic Theatre and Premier Arts.

Stephanie L. Yoder and Doug Lunn: Lunn has worked as a vocal director for countless Elkhart Civic Theatre productions. Yoder has performed for ECT and the South Bend Civic Theatre and has been a board member for the ECT.

Natalie Evans: The Goshen High School student is a member of the Camerata Chamber Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra and the Crimsonaire Choir. She plays the violin, harp and piano.

The Fab Five: This group of siblings has grown up singing, from road trips to family weddings. Now the Pawlak family will be performing publicly together for the first time.
