Emilee Allan
Saturday, January 28, 2012
If you have not yet heard singer/songwriter, Emilee Allan, then you have not been paying attention! From Edwardsburg, Michigan, she opened for the George Jones concert at The Lerner Theatre in the fall of 2011 and has performed in live music venues throughout the Michiana area. Allan's music is, as she describes it, a mixture of blues and country influenced by country heavyweights like Carrie Underwood. She’s also discovering the soft, bluesy sounds of artists like Norah Jones and that style is moving into her music. This concert debuts her new CD.
The opening band is “South of Somewhere”
Premier Arts presents: Cinderella
Saturday, February 11, 2012
This performance features an all youth cast and is not a part of the 2012 Premier Arts season ticket package.
The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits.
Music by Rodgers, Richard
Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II
Adapted for the Stage by Tom Briggs
Produced through special arrangement with The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization.

Everyone will love this charming, upbeat adaptation of a literary classic. Mary Lennox is sent to live in England after her parents die in India. Misselthwaite Manor turns out to be a gloomy fortress. Her uncle is rarely home and his young son, Colin, never leaves his room, convinced he's an incurable invalid. Mary discovers a strange walled garden that has been locked up for years. With the gardener's apprentice, Dickon, a lad who can talk to the animals, Mary coaxes the garden back to life. The garden seems to have a wonderful, magical effect on all who come into it, allowing Mary to help restore Colin to health and a reunion with his father.

Premier Arts Presents: The Sound of Music
Friday, May 4th - Sunday, May 6th
The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular movie musical of all time.
Music by Rodgers, Richard
Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II
Book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse
Suggested by "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers"
Premier Arts Presents: Grease
Friday, July 20 - Sunday, July 22
The year is 1959 where we find duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'", "It's Raining on Prom Night", "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An 8-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals.
Book, Music and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey
Premier Arts Presents: Peter Pan the Musical

Premier Arts is proud to bring to the Puget Sound area this new version of the stage musical, encompassing the revisions made for the 1995 West End (London) production and tour, with its delightful score adding to the charm of the original classic and endearing theatrical fantasy to both old and new audiences. Based on the novel by J.M. Barrie Book, Music & Lyrics by Piers Chater Robinson
